BSN Medical 7238205 Leukomed T Plus 4 x 13-3/4 Inch Post Op bandages are designed to be used after surgery, to protect wounds and scrapes with a waterproof and bacteria proof barrier. The fleece bandage pad is highly absorbent, which makes it ideal for use with fresh wounds or scrapes that are still secreting fluids. The polypropylene layer on the pad creates a barrier to prevent the pad from sticking to the wound. If a bandage sticks to the wound it can cause pulling or tearing of the wound, especially when attempting to remove or replace the bandage. Leukomed T Plus does a great job of preventing this. The adhesive is made of polyacrylate and, when pressed firmly against the skin, creates a waterproof seal, which allows the patient to be able to shower or bathe like normal. To minimze the chance of contamination or infection Leukomed T Plus bandages are sterilized and then individually packaged. The outer polyurethane layer is designed to be waterproof and bacteria proof.
Leukomed T Plus bandages are simple to place and to remove. First peel away the release paper and then place the bandage carefully where you need it. Next, press down ensure that the adhesive bonds with the skin. After that, while holding the red handling tape, peel the top film away and discard it. Leukomed T Plus bandages are available in a large variety of sizes, so you're sure to be able to find the sizes for your needs.
