Overview
BSN Medical 7238202 Leukomed T Plus 3 and 1/8 x 6 Inch Post Op bandages are designed to be used after operations or surgical procedures or to protect large cuts and scrapes from infection. The highly absorbent fleece pad is very effective at absorbing fluids from wounds or sutures that are still secreting. This pad has a thin polypropylene coating on the outer layer which acts to prevent the bandage pad from sticking to the wound, which can be painful and cause tearing that can reopen wounds and slow the healing process. The polyacrylate adhesive is resilient and clings very strongly to skin, ensuring that the patient can continue to do normal things like shower and go about daily activities. Even though the adhesive is so resilient it is still is easy on the patient's skin and is not difficult to remove. The bandages are sterile and individually packaged in order to reduce the risk of infection. The outer layer of polyurethane film is designed as a waterproof barrier that also acts to prevent the entrance of bacteria into the wound.
It is simple to apply a Leukomed T Plus bandage using the red handling tape. Simply remove the release paper then place the bandage over the wound and gently press down to be sure to create a waterproof bond between the adhesive and the skin. Then simply pull up and use with Leukomed T Plus makes it a great solution for many post-ops and other wound bandaging needs. It is easy to place, creates a watertight seal that protects from contamination, and is comfortable and easy to replace when the time comes to change bandages.
