BSN Medical 7238204 Leukomed T Plus 4 x 11-7/8 Inch Post Op bandages are made for use after surgery, after injuries such as cuts and scrapes, and for protecting wounds during bathing, hydrotherapy, or other activities. The absorbent fleece pads are make these bandages perfect for application on fresh wounds or wounds that are still secreting fluids. There is a polypropylene layer on the pad that acts as a barrier to prevent the pad from sticking to the wound, which can be painful and cause tearing when the bandages is moved or changed. The polyacrylate based adhesive creates a resilient seal when in pressed against skin and has the bonus of being waterproof, which allows the patient to continue showering or bathing as if they weren't wearing a bandage at all. While the adhesive is strong it remains gentle on the skin and easy to peel away. In order to minimzed the risk of infection Leukomed T Plus bandages are sterilized and individually packaged. The outer polyurethane layer is designed to be waterproof and bacteria proof.
It is very easy to use Leukomed T Plus bandages. First remove the release paper and then place the bandage over the wound. Next, press down to ensure that the adhesive bonds with the skin and a waterproof seal is formed. Then, while holding the red handling tape, peel the top film away from the bandage.
