Jobst Comprilan® Stretch Bandage 01026000 is a compression dressing by BSN Medical designed to support increased blood flow when in a low resting position from conditions such as venous insufficiency, varicose veins, lymphedema, and recovery from vein surgery. The pressure improves venous return and helps drain fluid trapped in the lymph vessels. This is important in reducing swelling and creating more mobility in the limb.
The cotton creates a lightweight material that can breathe to keep skin cool for added comfort. Comprilan compression bandage offers a short stretch with an interlocking weave to create consistent compression. The bandage is 2.4 inches wide and 5.5 yards long to apply evenly around a limb. Clip closures are provided to hold the dressing in place. The bandage can be washed and reused.
It is suitable to add compression in conjunction with an absorbent dressing such as Foam Non-Adhesive Dressing when treating venous leg ulcers.
