ADView 2 Blood Pressure Monitor Overview
The ADC ADView 2 Modular Diagnostic Station is a noninvasive oscillometric device. With the correct accessories, the device is designed to quickly capture and display heart rate, percent oxygenated hemoglobin, and brachial and diastolic blood pressure. This portable unit is ideal for use on patients three years and older. The device comes ready to use with pre-installed, fully configured programs and batteries. It comes with wireless networking capabilities to easily transfer patient readings using three integration options. The base unit can be purchased individually or with the oximetry and temperature modules included.

ADC 9005BP Temperature and Oximetry Modules
- Pulse Oximetry Module. By adding a pulse oximetry module to the base unit, clinicians can measure the oxygen saturation of arterial blood flow in roughly 10 seconds.
- Temperature Module. This module provides an oral or axillary temperature reading in about four seconds. Temperature is taken in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and it's easy to switch between the two at the touch of a button. This option features a built-in, color-coded storage well for the probe.
Manual and Customizable Modes
- Manual Mode. The manual mode allows clinicians to capture blood pressure with a stethoscope using the auscultatory method and does not require clinicians to change blood pressure cuffs. This mode provides options for patients with arrhythmias and other needs.
- Averaging Mode. This mode averages between two to five automatic blood pressure readings, helping to obtain more accurate patient data. Clinicians can choose from settings including first-measurement exclusion, start delays, and interval delays.

EMR Information
This automatic blood pressure monitor has HL7 messaging, which enables electronic data transferring using three integration options: enterprise, native, and simple. The ADView 2 can be used in almost any clinical EMR workflow setting by offering three integration options.
- Simple. This integration option allows clinicians to create a PDF file to attach to an existing electronic record for different patients. This option is free of cost and takes a maximum of one to two hours to implement.
- Native. With this integration option, clinicians send individual readings directly to corresponding EMR fields defined within a patient's electronic records. This option is a more advanced system that requires more technical knowledge and may be subject to extra initial costs to confirm that data is communicated properly.
- Enterprise. This option is ideal for larger institutions and is the most advanced system out of the three choices. It deploys translation middleware and requires experienced EMR integration specialists. Since this system is the most advanced, it is ideal to have translation software and an established IT team that can execute the technical specifications required to use the integration software.
