How to Use Abri-Form L4 Briefs

Measuring Size

Because Abena diapers are sized according to hip circumference, users should measure their hips. To measure the hip while standing up, wrap a measuring tape around the largest part of the rear and hips. While sitting or lying down, measure from one side of the hips to the other, and double the measurement to get the full hip circumference. The tape should be level and not twisted while doing this. The hips are typically around 4 inches below the belly button.

Putting On

Put the diaper between the legs and lift the ends of the front and back upwards. Attach the tapes to the front of the diaper, rearranging them to flatten out folds or to allow for more motion. Make sure the wetness indicator is around the middle of the rear.

Removing

To remove, take off the tape from the front of the incontinence briefs. Pull away from the legs by taking it from the front to the back. Roll up the diaper, making sure to keep its contents inside, and tape it closed with the provided tape.

Changing Frequency

When a diaper is wet or soiled, it should be changed to prevent rashes and other health problems. Depending on how much fluid or food a person intakes, an adult diaper can be changed approximately five times a day or more. Be sure to moisturize any affected areas after cleaning to prevent skin defects.
