The Posey trach collar is very soft and has no rough edges that can scratch your neck. They are very easy to take on and off and are adjustable.

The posey foam trach tie is narrow towards the trach tube and is therefore cooler and much more comfortable. There is less material around my neck. The thinner band also show less under my shirt collar. The trach collar is not difficult to attach and remove.

I've had my trach since Dec. 2008. I didn't like the tie the hospital attached and told my sister what was wrong. She found the Posey Foam Trach Ties and that is all I buy. I live in Texas and it can get very hot here. The ties are light and do not bother me at all. I even had someone at the ENT's office and at work ask me where I bought them. I sent them both to Vitality.

This product is superb! It is very easy to clean and use. It also does not irritate my skin too much. It fits well and very convenient to adjust. If you're in the same situation, I suggest you buy these too!

I am so glad that my hospital recently changed to th is Posey Foam Trach Ties. As a nurse in a surgical department, I have to deal with it everyday. When it extubates it always becomes a problem. However, after changing to this one, it barely happens. It's so tight but comfortable for patients at the same time.
