The Kendall Kangaroo Joey Enteral Feeding Pump is a simple-to-use, precision enteral feeding pump. This easy to use feeding machine is easy to program to provide patients with either continuous or intermittent feeding in a completely portable device.. When used with Kangaroo ePump Feed & Flush Sets, the Joey Enteral Feeding Pump provides automatic flushing capability. The Joey feeding pump is the first hydrating and ambulatory enteral device available.
The Kendall Joey Pump is an optimal design for ambulatory patients because it is the smallest Kangaroo Enteral Feeding pump ever—30% smaller than the Kangaroo ePump Enteral Feeding Pump. Despite the convenient small size, the Joey is precisely accurate because it uses volumetric delivery and has an over infusion safeguard. The Kangaroo Joey retains all rate and volume settings until you clear the settings.
The Kangaroo Joey Enteral Feeding Pump has a rubber overmold which makes it very durable and shock resistant. The rubber overmold makes the pump quieter as well as splash resistant. Kendall did a great job when they designed this long-lasting, durable Enteral Feeding Pump. It also has a high waterproof rating making it even easier to clean between uses.
The Kendall Kangaroo Joey Enteral Feeding Pump has a touchpad interface for quick and easy programming. And once programmed, you can use the Lock-Out Feature to prevent the settings from being purposely or accidentally changed. The Joey easily provides for either feed only or feed and flush programming. The smart pump technology used by the Kendall Kangaroo Joey automatically recognizes the type of feeding set that is loaded. This feature is unique to the Kangaroo Systems.
The Joey is attitude independent. That means that it will operate right side up, upside down or oriented in any direction. So the Kangaroo Joey is the only ambulatory flush pump available.
The Joey pump can deliver very small amounts of fluid while not actively feeding when the "Keep Tube Open" feature is active. This feature allows the patient to receive a medication and then not have to remember to turn the pump on later. But the pump also has a Bolus Max that allows a dose of up to 1,000 mL to be delivered at a rate of 999 mL/hr. so your feedings will go as fast as possible when you use the Joeythe fastest bolus feed on the market.
The Pump sets used with the Kangaroo Joey are 100% DEHP Free and phthalate free. The Joey Enteral Feeding Pump Sets also have an Anti Free Flow device. Battery
New, fully charged Lithium Ion Battery Pack delivers > 18 hrs at 125 mL/hr feed rate. Approximately 15 minutes prior to complete battery discharge, a low battery alarm will occur (see subsection Battery Low in Section IX). When complete discharge occurs, the pump will automatically turn itself off. The battery will charge continuously whenever the pump is plugged into a wall outlet. 6 hours of charging is required to fully
recharge the battery pack.
