Good Product

(Posted on 4/16/12)Product Rating This is worth while having if you plan on doing any kind of activity. I was stuck on the couch with a broken leg. It only took me 3 weeks to realize that I needed to have more mobility. I looked on line for options, this unit came up. I ordered it a couple of days later. It took 10 days to feel comfortable with it. It has improved my mobility greatly! I would reccomend it to anyone.

Great alternative to old fashioned crutches
By: Josh
(Posted on 2/28/12)Product Rating I broke my leg close to my ankle and had to have surgery on it leaving me out of work for a while. Seeing as how that is affecting the income, we pulled our two kids from day care to save money and I would take care of them. Needless to say, this is a difficult task with 2 good legs. I quickly found that traditional crutches were very cumbersome to use taking care of myself, let alone two kids. So I asked the doctor if there was any alternative. He recommended the scooter type crutch that has 4 wheels and you rest your knee in and steer yourself with handlebars. I didn't think this would be much better because it still required the use of my hands. Then I came across this style crutch. Vitality medical seems to really know their stuff, and had the best price, so I purchased this crutch from them. It took a few days to get use to, but what a difference it is being able to use my hands while walking around (with the doctors order of no weight on the leg!). The only downfall I've experienced with this crutch is stability, and slick surfaces. If you get off balance, its easy to fall over...but this is pretty much the same with traditional crutches too. The other fault is on smooth surfaces, if there is any water or liquid, this hands free crutch will slip just like you were on ice. Maybe if the company added some sort of non slip pads to the bottom of the crutch, it would be better. But all I had to do after I discovered that problem was to watch out for wet spots on the kitchen floor and I've been fine.
I would highly recommend this crutch to anyone that has a need for crutches and would still like use of their hands/arms while healing. -
Worth the purchase

(Posted on 2/20/12)Product Rating I was going to be non-load bearing for a long time after surgery. I needed something to allow me to use my hands. This has worked pretty well! I can get things done. You can do stairs. It gives you freedom from crutches or a walker.
In my case, I am a little uncoordinated. I needed a cane to make me feel comfortable. But, anyone with balance will get this thing down pat in no time. Piece of cake. -
Decent product, and service was well executed even after a srew up by Vitality

(Posted on 2/7/12)Product Rating I was skeptical with placing an on-line order, but pleased in the end. The order was screwed up by Gilbert, one of their staff members, but once it was noticed, they sent it priority mail. Which was no cost to me, so I appreciated that greatly. The product does take about 20 minutes to really get comfortable with, and there are a few obvious limitations in mobility and dexterity, but overall a Godsend compared to using those damned crutches.
I have been able to host a party, cook several meals and had teh freedom of being able to move about...hands free. -
IWalkfree Crutchless Walker is a must have for ease of movemement
By: Cole
(Posted on 1/14/12)Product Rating Bought the crutchless walker to ease my movement around the house in my post recovery non-weight bearing restrictions. Since I could not do the things I needed to do with my hands when moving around, I read about this unit and thought to give it a try. I'm glad I did. I practiced with it for about a week and a half, and felt confident once it was time to use it after my surgery. It does take soe getting use to it. Watch the videos, they really help. I found all of them on Youtube. This is also a well designed system. I weigh 250lbs and it holds me with no buckling or unsafe feeling. Read about it first before ordering,..this thing is expensive. Vitalitymedical gave me the best deal I could have got anywhere.

As good as expected.

(Posted on 11/4/11)Product Rating Before deciding to purchase the IWALKFREE, I read many mixed reviews. It took a few days to become comfortable with it, but it definitely beats traditional crutches. I am so thankful... I do not have to depend on anyone just to do the simple things anymore. IWALKFREE has relieved me of much frustration, stress, anguish and pain.

Well designed and made and works well for standing and walking needs in a small space.

(Posted on 6/26/11)Product Rating I am recovering from an Achilles surgery and unable to put weight on my left foot for two months including a walking tour in Europe. I purchsed the I-Walk with hopes that it would enable me to ditch my crutches and wander the brick-paved streets, plazas, steps and gravel paths of Europe. While I was quickly able to navigate the I-Walk, was impressed by the quality and found it very useful for moving around the house, I was not comfortable with the thought of traveling long distances with it all day. One should know that walking with the I-Walk requires an unfamilar gait similar to that of a victim of Polio and raised an uncomfortable sense of self-consciousness.

Great product, lets me work again
By: PonyDoc
(Posted on 5/10/11)Product Rating I can't say enough good things about this product. I am an ambulatory horse vet, after breaking my foot in a horse back riding accident I was told I had to be non weight bearing for 12 weeks. After being on crutches for 3 days I started looking for a solution to let me take care of myself around the house as well as get back to work. I found the IWalkFree Hands Free Crutch, looked at the reviews and went ahead and ordered it even though it wasn't covered by my insurance. Shortly after receiving the IWalkFree I managed to do some vaccinations on a few well behaved horses. After a few appointments the IWalkFree has paid for itself and allowed me to keep growing my practice. It isn't perfect, I would like to have a little bit more stability side to side and I added a few loops to the front to use as keepers for the excess strap but on the whole it has given me back my independence.

Nothing comparable!
By: Palin
(Posted on 4/21/11)Product Rating Some of you might think the conventional crutch will do enough but that's not so true. Unfortunately, I had to use both of them and came to the conclusion that there's nothing comparable to this one!! What's even greater is that you can even get some money back! Isn't it great?

My third leg!
By: Nicole
(Posted on 4/14/11)Product Rating I had a horrible car accident and it made me use this for weeks. Could have been even worse though, it was manageable thanks to this great device! First mom got me the normal traditional one but later on my friend gave me this link and I immediately decided to get it. I made the right choice. And you know what? You can get some of your money back! How great!

Not pleased
By: Huh?
(Posted on 4/14/11)Product Rating Facing many weeks on crutches due to Achilles tendon surgery I had high hopes for an alternative to crutches, unfortunately, I found it extremely clumsy and unwieldly. I am 5'' 6" and the "leg" beam was way too long for me. I suggest the beam be redesigned to be adjustable in height much like a crutch is. The thigh and calf straps need to be less bulky and cumbersome. They protrude too much and the calf strap BARELY fit around my cast...and I am NOT a big man with big calfs. Also, the position of my leg on the knee platform put tension on my tendon surgery and that is something I am to avoid at all costs. I have retuned it and am awaiting confirmation of the return from Vitality Medical. So far, I am pleased with VM cust. service. I am expecting a full refund of my purchase price minus $20. per Cust.Serv.
Thank you

Hands Free Crutch Review
By: Ann
(Posted on 4/12/11)Product Rating I had a hard time with the crutch at first. I know it's because I needed more practice. So I practiced for about 6 hours, walked back and forth with it and climbed the stairs. And when I was able to master it, it became easier. It worked like a real leg. Couldn't thank the makers enough because they allowed me to experience "walking" again.

Hands Free Clutch Gets Me Around Review
By: Becky
(Posted on 4/11/11)Product Rating My doctor suggested me to buy this, because walking was difficult with my foot and this made it so much easier to get around. I am using this product now and I love it. Furthermore, you can do all the things you want since your hands are free to move and not hold on. You can buy or rent this product and observe these results from yourself.

Hands Free Crutch - Weight Capacity 300 lbs. Review
By: William
(Posted on 4/7/11)Product Rating I love this "crutch". It's not just the regular crutch because it really works like a normal leg. Although I practiced for a whole day to get used to it, once I got the hang of balancing the crutch it works wonders! I can go up and the stairs comfortably and do short walks as well.

Iwalk Free Review
By: Crazy Golfer
(Posted on 11/12/10)Product Rating I love to golf and a surgery is not going to stop me from playing my game! I ordered my Iwalk Free while I was still recovering in the hospital. Four days later I am out on the course playing. It is easy to use and I think it has improved my game. I can rely on it as if it were my own leg. I recommend it!
