Vital 1.5 Cal is a peptide-based elemental nutrition formula designed for individuals with gastrointestinal dysfunction. It may be used for either tube feeding or as an oral nutrition supplement. Manufactured by Abbott Nutrition, it helps manage mal-digestion, mal-absorption, GI intolerance, or impaired GI function. The formula contains hydrolyzed peptide-based protein for tolerance, NutraFlora scFOS prebiotics to support digestive health, and structured lipids from MCT and canola oil to aid absorption. It also includes elevated levels of vitamins C and E to help reduce free radical damage, along with 24 vitamins and minerals for sole-source nutrition and concentrated calories for fluid-restricted patients. Preparation

8 oz Tetra Carton: Store at room temperature and avoid extremes. Shake well before consuming. Once opened, cover with cap, refrigerate, and consume within 48 hours.

Tube Feeding: Use with a pump and an 8 Fr or larger tube. Not for gravity feeding. Consult physician for flow rate, volume, and additional fluid requirements.

Ready-to-Hang Container: Follow clean techniques. Hang for up to 48 hours once setup. Shake well before use. Do not touch formula-contacting surfaces. Administer at room temperature.
