3M's 1839 Securement Dressings are specifically designed for PICC and CVC catheters and can be used for sizes up to and including 12 Fr. They are designed for longer term use and can be worn for up to 7 days while allowing the caretaker to easily see the catheter site. This 4 x 6.08 inch securement dressing has a built in antimicrobial and waterproof film that will keep the catheter site clear of potential pathogens and excessive moisture. The kits come in several different pieces which can be attached to the patient step by step. This allows for an easy to follow procedure to teach and implement. Securement dressings for this purpose is available in two different sizes.
