When used in combination with a film backing the 90601 Tegaderm High Performance Foam Dressing is capable of protecting a wound from maceration as well as bacteria and viruses. The multi-layer design combines a high exudate absorbency with breathability to create an optimal wound healing environment. Additinally the dressing keeps its absorbency and breathability when used with compression and it doesn't stick to the wound area; preventing potential damage to healing tissue.
This 4 x 4 inch 3M Foam Dressing is optimal for use with a variety of different wound types including ulcers, skin tears, donor sites and burns. It can be effectively used for wounds with low to high exudate levels. There are also several foam dressings available to choose from.
