The Soft Touch Sitter is an adaptive seating system with a soft contoured seat that manages seated positioning and helps reduce forward sliding. The anti-thrust seating surface, built-in abductor, and attachment straps hold the seat in place on a stable chair, stroller, or compatible base.
Special Tomato Sitter comes in four variations: sitter only, floor wedge, stationary base, and mobile base. The floor wedge places the seat at floor level; the stationary base uses furniture glides; and the mobile base rolls on wheels, including setups like the soft touch sitter with mobile base.
Contoured head and lateral supports shape the upper seat area, and an adjustable multi-point positioning harness can be removed for cleaning. Fit comes down to pelvic alignment and lateral stability. Special Tomato’s soft-to-the-touch material remains impermeable to fluids, includes antimicrobial properties, and offers wear-resistant, peel- and tear-resistant durability.
Base Options
- Stationary: The stationary base is a strong wooden base for sitting close to the floor. The stationary base has furniture glides to help prevent damage to the floors.
- Mobile: The mobile base is the same as the stationary base, but it features four casters for easy maneuvering around the room.
- Floor Wedge: The floor wedge is great for support while playing or interacting with peers.
