RepliCare Smith and Nephew Hydrocolloid Dressing is a specially designed wound dressing to provide physical protection for first and second degree burns, pressure sores, donor sites, and other wounds that may need the optimal healing environment of a non-breathable dressing. It has a self-adhesive edge that eliminates the need for a secondary dressing. The smooth surface with a sloped edge makes it feel more like an extension of the skin than a dressing. While the dressing sticks to skin, it does not stick to application gloves or other materials. The dressing is also waterproof, not letting anything in, which helps prevent infection. The outer layer of the dressing is easy to clean, further promoting hygiene and reducing infection.
The RepliCare Hydrocolloid Dressing is highly flexible and conforms to the contours of the body. This increases the comfort level as well as reduces the possibility of leaks from wound exudate.
