SteadMed Restore Silver Contact Layer Dressing

SteadMed Restore Contact Layer with Silver in 4x5 Pads (Hollister 509341) and 6x8 Pads (Hollister 509342) is a primary dressing that promotes faster and more complete healing. The polymer material of the dressing has silver embedded in each square pad that has antimicrobial properties, fighting off harmful bacteria and reducing the risk of infection. The pads are non-adhesive and will need the assistance of tape or gauze to stay in place during the healing process. The Silver Triact Contact Layer comes fully sterile. This helps keep the wound as clean as possible for longer periods of time.

Triact Restore Contact Layer Silver is able to last up to seven days in place. Reducing the number of dressing changes promotes the health of the skin surrounding the wound in addition to healing the wound itself. With fewer dressing changes, there is less damage done to the surrounding tissue. With less dressing changes, there is more time for the wound to heal uninterrupted. The faster the wound heals, the less pain is involved with the healing, and especially with the dressing changes that do happen. With two different sizes, the Contact Layer with Silver is able to cover most wounds completely, creating less opportunities for infection.
