Drive PrimeMat 2.0 Impact Reduction Fall Mats provide a safe environment for the elderly or patients at high risk of falling out of bed. The Bedside Fall Safety Mat measures 72 inches to maximize space in front of a bed. Its core is made of premium quality molded polyurethane foam that's designed to absorb and reduce the impact of the fall. It has passed the "Egg Drop Test" where an egg's integrity was maintained after being dropped from five feet above the mat. The PrimeMat 2.0 is durable but it's lightweight to easily install in front of the bed.
Other important design features include tapered edges around the entire perimeter of the mat, creating a slope for equipment, such as a wheelchair or patient lift, to roll over the mat easily when needing to get as close to the patient as possible. The tapered edges also help prevent accidental tripping. Underneath the mat is a non-skid netting that's responsible for securing the mat to the flooring for additional safety. On top, the surface also has a soft non-slip embossed pattern necessary for traction. The embossed PVC also adds an attractive faux leather look that's easy to clean and maintain using mild soap and water.
