Prevalon Turn and Position System is designed to keep nurses from becoming patients due to injuries related to patient repositioning. It provides a safe way to move and rotate patients in bed. The system stays beneath the patient throughout their hospital stay, which makes it always ready for use. The Position System allows you to safely reach compliance to protocols while reducing the risk of injury to your back, wrist, and shoulders due to excessive strain.
Turn and Position System includes 1 low friction glide sheet w/anti shear strap, 2 30-degree body wedges, 1 universal bed attachment, 6 microclimate body pads, and 1 mattress cover (7201 & 7206 only). The positioning handles allow for gentle patient positioning, the low-friction sheet keeps the body from sliding, and the anchor wedge system offloads the sacrum, which reduces the chance of patient slipping down in the bed and prevents sacral pressure ulcers. It is compatible with all low air loss mattresses and the low-friction glide sheet has attached hook and loop strips that help lock the body wedges in place.
Other products used for patient positioning and transfer include boards, such as Plastic Transfer Board and Tub Transfer Board.
