This Torso Support by Posey is designed for patients in need of upper torso support. The Torso Restraint helps prevent tilting, leaning and forward sliding. It provides soft, broad support around the chest and over the shoulders. Its reversibile design allows medical workers to position the release flap either in the front or in the back, meaning that the device can either allow self-release or it can be used as a Medical Restraint. For extra support and to further prevent forward sliding, use the Torso Support in conjunction with a wedge cusion or lap belt. Product QuestionsI am unsure what size to buy for my husband....what do I measure....chest....waist....torso length? If using in a wheelchair...how many inches more do I add for this? Or is there enough length and width of item to accommodate? And...is there a great difference between standard wheelchair use and transport chair that would impact size? I need to use for both chairs. Thanks.Question by: Sharon on Feb 15, 2016 6:39:00 PMWe have updated our site to include a sizing chart based on weight and chest measurements. The shoulder straps should be able to accommodate both standard wheelchairs and transport chairs.Answer by: Jessica Smith (Admin) on Sep 5, 2019 8:42:00 AMDoes the Posey Torso Support work with any type chair to allow use at restaurants, etc? Do have pictures from different angles (back), release side, etc.?
