Posey Seizure Side Rail Pads are specially designed to be an outer shell of an existing hospital bed side rail. The rail pads are manufactured by Posey with a variety of sizes to fit hospital and surgical beds such as Hill-Rom and Stryker to ensure they are form fitted. Modified beds may not be compatible with these Posey Seizure Side Rail Pads.
The shell is made out of a lightweight sheer nylon denier material. It has a 1-inch thick medium density foam to pad to buffer the rail to prevent patients who suffer from epileptic conditions from injuring themselves during a seizure. The Posey Seizure Side Rail Pads easily attach to the rail with hook and loop fasteners. The sheer nylon material prevents friction when patient comes in contact allowing unobstructed movement without leaving rub burns or other injuries. The nylon cover is backed with a urethane coating for a waterproof barrier to make it easy to wipe down and disinfect with a mild liquid disinfectant. Some of the Seizure Side Rail Pad models are designed with open window cutouts for hospital beds with bed controls located inside the rail.
