Portex Blue Line Ultra Suctionaid Tracheostomy Tubes are cuffed trach tubes designed to help manage the airway while also allowing suctioning of secretions that collect above the cuff. The added Suctionaid lumen clears the subglottic area, which sets this version apart from the standard Portex Blue Line Ultra cuffed trach tube.
Made of thermosensitive PVC, the tube is firmer during insertion and softens with body temperature to better conform to the patient’s anatomy. The Soft Seal cuff is an ultra-soft, low-pressure, high-volume cuff designed to help create a seal while reducing pressure on the tracheal wall. The tube is also radiopaque for position confirmation, and the pilot balloon includes clear cuff inflation markings for easier monitoring.
