Soy oil is a source of essential omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids: linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid; 100 g of PFD 2 provides approximately 2.7 g of linoleic acid and 320 mg of alpha-linolenic acid. Carbohydrate provides 89% of total calories in PFD 2. The carbohydrate blend is 86% corn syrup solids, 11% sucrose (table sugar), and 3% modified corn starch. The sucrose in the product helps improve the taste when amino acids from other sources are added. PFD 2 is lactose-free. Vitamins and mineral levels in PFD 2 are appropriate for both children and adults.

PFD 2 Preparation
Metabolic clinician should consult with patients about the correct amounts of water and powder for consumption. The patient's health depends on carefully following these directions.
Measure the correct amount of water into a suitable container for mixing. Then add the required amount of PFD 2. Mix well until blended. Consume the prepared beverage immediately or cover and refrigerate. Use within 48 hours of preparation. Mix before drinking.
Throw away prepared unrefrigerated beverage left in cup within 1 hour after consumption begins.
Powder Storage (cans)
Store cans at room temperature. After opening can, keep tightly covered, store in a dry area and use contents within 1 month. Do not freeze powder, and avoid excessive heat. Use by date on bottom of can.
