OtoClear Replacement Tips

The Bionix OtoClear Irrigation Tips are the replacement tips for the OtoClear Ear Lavage Portable System. This device is used to clean ears from the debris inside the canals, such as dirt or earwax. The tips are the pieces located at the end of the Otoclear Adapter Wand that enters the ear to flush it with the cleaning solution.

The Ear Irrigation Tips (Bionix 7200) are meant to be replaced after each use. Changing the tips is not only recommended but is also a best practice to reduce contamination from being flushed into another ear; even when using it with the same patient, it is best to replace the tip with a new one.

The tip has three holes in its circular design to spray water out of the sides, hitting the walls of the ear canal instead of spraying directly into the ear in a single-stream motion, which could cause damage to the eardrum. Instead, the design splits the water stream up so that the eardrum is not hit with a direct jet of water. Once sprayed, the water will reach the end of the ear canal and make its way out, rinsing into the drainage container.
