Orcam MyEye 2 Pro Unit Overview
The OrCam MyEye Pro Device enables the blind or visually impaired, offering independence in a device no larger than a finger. It captures a visual of the user's surroundings through the use of an advanced optical sensor. Visuals such as text, barcodes, legible handwriting, and even faces are immediately converted into audio and transmitted through the built-in HD speaker. The device can be activated by touch or simply by saying "Hey Orcam." Once it has been activated, it can capture its surroundings and describe them to the user.

The MyEye 2.0 Smart Device recognizes text on nearly any surface, including street signs, electronic screens, paper, and more. It can even tell the time off a watch face. The device also recognizes paper money amounts, negating the need for someone else to ensure correct change. Capturing sign text eliminates fumbling for Braille translations that are in awkward places or may not be there at all. The device scans barcodes and recognizes products so users can shop by themselves. All information is delivered audibly to the built-in speaker or to any Bluetooth device.

The MyEye Pro Vision Aid is activated by touch or by voice. Once activated, the device listens for verbal prompts. It understands prompts such as "Read the headlines" or "What's in front of me?" Alternatively, the user can tape the device to take a snapshot of whatever is in front of them. The speed of playback can be sped up or slowed down depending on each user's preference.

No. The MyEye 2.0 can read credit card information but it will not store or save it.
Does this device have cloud storage of any kind?
No.
Does the device need to connect to the internet for any reason?
Software updates can only occur when connected to the internet. Otherwise, the MyEye Pro does not need an internet connection to function properly.
How should the device be cleaned?
Use only the supplied microfiber cloth and eyeglasses cleaning fluid. Do not touch the camera lens directly with fingers. Do not use any household cleaners, aerosol sprays, alcohol, or ammonia.
Will this translate Spanish to English?
While the device reads and communicates in both languages, it will not translate between them.
Will this device enable users to watch television?
No. The device will not improve eyesight and will not enable users to watch television.
Is this waterproof?
No. It can stand light rain or drizzle for a short period of time. The manufacturer recommends not getting this device wet.
