PICO 7 Negative Pressure Wound Care Therapy System Overview
The PICO 7 System is a unique 7-day wound repair dressing system that uses negative pressure wound therapy to help ulcers or closed surgical incisions heal from the inside out. The canister-free pump system uses a specialized dressing to promote blood flow, prevent bacteria from entering the wound, and help shrink the wound size with results that are faster than traditional canister-based negative pressure wound care therapy (NPWCT) systems. The PICO 7 features a unique AIRLOCK layer that evenly distributes negative pressure across the wound while enabling fluid movement through the dressing. The top film allows one-way transpiration of any exudate vapors for managing moisture. The pump is lightweight, quiet, and pocket-sized, and using the integrated belt clip, it offers full portability and notification lights that alert patients when their pump is leaking, full, or in need of batteries.
The PICO 7 Negative Pressure Wound Care Therapy System is single-use and intended to be disposed of after its 7-day treatment period, after which it will turn off and not turn on again even with new batteries. The PICO system is also available in a 14-day system for wounds that require longer treatments.
