It is designed to assist with the transfer of fluids and medication into veins and specifically fit for use with the Abbott LifeShield System. The Monoject Blunt Cannula for Safe IV Access is sterile to reduce the risk of infection or disease with use. It has a polypropylene hub that is compatible with luer lock syringes and measures one inch long. The cannula is made of stainless steel and measures eighteen gauge.
