The microAIR - MA500 by Invacare Alternating Pressure Low Air Loss Mattress System can help treat and prevent up to stage III pressure injuries. Featuring eight adjustable comfort settings and alternating ten-minute pressure cycles of ten-minutes contribute to the MA500's comfort and therapeutic benefits. The quilted nylon top cover is durable and comfortable and offers low friction to ease patient positioning and repositioning. The cover is also highly vapor permeable and offers moisture prevention. The cable management system is integrated into the cover, secures cords and keeping them off the ground and out of the way for safety. The microAIR MA500 features a natural heel-slope design to prevent and alleviate pressure points in the user's feet and lower extremities.

The MA500 by Invacare is equipped with both audible and visual alarms to alert the user of low pressure. Note, the low pressure LED will illuminate during inflation of the mattress, but will turn-off once proper inflation is achieved. The audible alarm features a delay function so that it will not alert during inflation, but will activate automatically after forty-five minutes and will alarm if the mattress failed to inflate properly. If the air pressure in the mattress drops below the set pressure during patient repositioning, the audible alarm will switch to a five-minute delay to avoid unnecessary alarms.
