Metrex MetriCide OPA Plus is a high-level disinfectant that prevents infection in medical facilities such as surgical centers. It is also used to disinfect semi-critical medical devices that can't handle heat sterilization. The solution cleans and disinfects surfaces and devices directly (manually) or may be used to clean them in an automated endoscope reprocessor AER. 

The disinfecting solution is free of surfactant to ensure that sensitive scope lenses don't cloud. It is used for disinfecting a wide range of endoscopes, duodenoscopes, and endoscope accessories. 

MetriCide OPA Plus active ingredient is ortho-phthalaldehyde (60% OPA), a high-level chemical disinfectant compound.

Will MetriCide OPA Plus Solution irritate the skin? 
The toxicity test showed moderate irritation when exposed to the skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Use caution by wearing latex or nitrile gloves.

Does OPA stain clothes? 
Yes, use caution as it may stain clothing. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Do Metrex products contain glutaraldehyde? 
No, this product uses OPA disinfectant and not glutaraldehyde.
