Molnlycke Mepilex Border 4 x 12 Inch Foam Dressing uses patented Safetac technology for excellent fluid management while gently sealing around the wound margins. As a self-adherent foam dressing, it minimizes trauma to the wound during dressing changes. Depending on wound type, this dressing can be left in place for several days to protect the wound. It's commonly used to heal pressure, leg and foot ulcers as well as skin tears, and post-surgical incision care.

The makeup of Mepilex Border involves an absorption layer to wick exudate away and then transfers it to a spreading layer and retention layer to balance exudate and prevent moisture from going back to the skin. This is important in reducing the risk of maceration and creating optimal healing conditions. In addition, the top backing layer keeps bacteria out. This layer is breathable and moisture-resistant.
