Mepilex Ag 4 x 4 inch foam dressing with safetac technology is a soft and flexible antimicrobial foam dressing that absorbes exudate while maintaining a moist wound environment. Mepilex ag features innovative Safetac technology to seal wound edges, thereby preventing exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin and reducing the risk of maceration. Safetac adhesive is clinically proven to cause less pain upon removal. While other adherents only stick to the top of the skin's surface, Safetac adhesive molds to the skin's uneven surface pores, sticking only to dry skin and not moist wounds. Safetac seals the edges of the wound, protecting the wound and surrounding skin from damage. Mepilex Ag Foam Dressing (Molnlyck 287100) begins neutralizing wound-related pathogens within 30 minutes of applying the dressing, and sustains this effect for up to 7 days. By reducing the amount of microorganisms in the wound, Mepilex Ag may also reduce odor.

Mepilex Ag stays in place, making it an ideal dressing to use under compression or retention bandages. These dressings may be repositioned on the skin without losing adhesiveness, and may be cut to fit wound shapes or form around complicated body contours. This product has a low potential for skin irritation or allergy.

Mepilex Ag can be used to manage low to moderately exuding wounds, such as leg and foot ulcers, bedsores, and partial thickness burns. Clean wound prior to applying the dressing. For best results, dressing should extend to surrounding skin by at least 1-2 cm.
