Description
MedVance Silicone Foam Dressing is a self-adherent dressing constructed of polyurethane foam that has been coated with a gentle, hypoallergenic silicone adhesive and breathable polyurethane film for maximum performance, pain relief and comfort. The breathable film allows for the development of a moist, healing wound environment via the passage of oxygen and water vapor through the dressing so as to prevent wound bed maceration. The absorbent pad can absorb large amounts of exudate, and the wound contact layer does not stick to the wound bed, minimizing epithelial stripping that can occur during dressing removal. For the best application, you can wrap the non-bordered silicone foam dressing in a compression bandage.
