Medvance Hydrocolloid Extra Thin Dressing

Medvance Hydrocolloid Extra Thin Dressing is a flexible and versatile primary dressing designed for dry to lightly exuding wounds and to reduce the risk of further skin breakdown due to friction. Upon application, a cohesive gel is produced when in contact with wound exudate to provide a moist, healing wound environment. Special shapes are available for wounds on the heel and sacrum. As a secondary dressing with the aid of a compression bandage, the thin, boarder-less dressing is useful to help secure a primary dressing or an AQUACEL Ag Advanced dressing. As The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel and European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel guidelines recommend using hydrocolloids for the management of pressure ulcers, Medvance extra-thin dressing is ideal for managing stage I and stage II pressure ulcers as well as used in the management of light exuding wounds like venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, superficial burns, superficial partial, thickness burns, donor sites, postoperative wounds and skin abrasions.
