The MedVance Bordered Silicone Foam Dressing, by Medway, is a highly absorbent dressing with a gentle silicone adhesive that does not stick to the wound bed. The multilayer silicone foam absorbs large amounts of exudate and locks it in to prevent wound maceration at the moist, healing wound environment. The hypoallergenic silicone adhesive will only adhere to intact, dry skin to prevent damage during removal and changing of the dressing. The outer most layer helps to prevent contamination while still allowing oxygen and water vapor transmission. Special shapes are available for heel and sacrum wounds. The Medvance bordered dressing is ideal for up to full wounds like pressure ulcers, leg, venous, and diabetic foot ulcers, traumatic wounds, and abrasions.
