The Medline Semi-Electric Basic Homecare Bed is lightweight, easy to use and easy to move making it ideal for home use. The foot section alone weighs only forty-two pounds. The remote allows for both the user and the caretaker to adjust the position of the bed easily with the touch of a button. With the Medline Semi-Electric Hospital Bed, you are getting the most value with the features. The bed comes with a nine-volt battery backup in case there is a power failure meaning you can still adjust the position of the bed. The DC motor box quickly and easily comes off making installation, delivery, and setup fast and simple.
The bed comes with added safety features built into the design. The headspring supports are recessed in order to prevent pinching and other injuries that may occur when the bed position is being adjusted. The footspring assembly also has a recessed design to prevent the chance of pinching.
The remotes for the Basic beds are new and improved. They feature new larger buttons to make the especially easy to use. Basic beds also feature 2 locking and 2 non-locking casters, conveniently making any attempt to move and secure the bed practically effortless. Standard Trapeze Bar is sold separately as a base (MDS80616T) and as the trapeze bar (MDS80615T). Combined, these two products form a free-standing trapeze that can be positioned where it is needed. The base comes with wall bumpers and padded mounting brackets to protect bedroom walls. It is assembled without the need of tools. The trapeze bar may be attached to some beds without the need for the base.
