MedLine PRM4412 4 x 4 Inch Woven Gauze Sponges are 12-ply and are low-lint cotton gauze sponges which are packaged sterile. The sponges are ready for use when packing a wound or protecting wounds with heavy exudate. The heavy 12-ply material acts as a great cover for several wound types, giving it the added benefit of being able to soak up medium levels of exudate without compromising the bandage or the wound bed. The manufacturing process assures there is little to no lint available for this product, reducing the risk of maceration. A unique "C-fold" design helps minimize loose threads and lint as well.
The gauze is 4 Inches x 4 Inches in size to cover a decent sized wound. Each set of gauze is packaged and is easier to access so you can cover the wound area faster. The sponges are also 12-ply, allowing for a medium amount of exudate to be held during treatment. Each box contains 25 packages of two pieces of gauze to optimize site control.
