TheDrive Medical Med-Aire Melody Alternating Pressure and Low Air Loss Mattress Replacement System is an active system that optimizes pressure redistribution, microclimate control, and shear/friction reduction by providing low air loss and alternating pressure. This air mattress system is intended for in-home or long-term care to prevent, treat, and heal pressure ulcers. It can be used in either static mode or the control unit offers 10-minute alternating cycles. The Med-Aire Melody Mattress accommodates up to 350 pounds and features an adjustable weight setting that provides optimal patient comfort, immersion, and compliance.
This mattress features visual alerts in the event that the air pressure is low. This unique system is constructed with 20 individual air cells to allow for maximum envelopment and immersion. The cells are easily removed, which allows for easy and convenient servicing. It also includes a pillow feature that provides optimal head stability and comfort. It comes with a removable nylon cover that protects the skin from moisture and friction. It can easily be deflated using the rapid deflation CPR valve and the EZ Lock/Quick Release design allows the tubing to quickly be disconnected.
Drive Medical also manufactures other styles, such as the Med Aire PLUS, which offers variable cycle times of 10, 15, 20, and 25 minutes to customize cycles based the patient's needs.
