Overview
The McKesson 120 Urine Analyzer is a comprehensive urinalysis solution for patient care. The analyzer comes with five vials, each containing 100 Urine Reagent Strips, two printer paper rolls, and a power cord. Control Solution IS SOLD SEPARATELY. The urine analyzer is easy to use and can provide a single test result in one minute using the single test mode and 120 test results per hour using the continuous test mode. The 120 Urine Analyzer can conduct three test types: routine test for normal testing, STAT test for emergency testing, and QC test for positive/negative controls.
To conduct urinalysis, the user dips a test strip into a urine sample and inserts the strip into the machine. The test detects analytes to monitor endocrine, urinary tract, and metabolic or systemic diseases. Some of the analytes include glucose, bilirubin, ketone, pH, and protein. The Urine Chemistry Analyzer is commonly used in prenatal visits to monitor elevated protein in the mother's urine, which can indicate kidney malfunction. It can also be used to detect ketones when the patient is on a weight loss plan.
The Urine Chemistry Analyzer is compact, so it takes up less space on a clinic countertop. It features a large LCD screen for easy-to-read results. The numeric keyboard can be used to look up past test results and even program user logins to eliminate unapproved operators. Up to 2,000 patient records can be stored. The data is printed using thermal paper, and there is an auto-print setting. The analyzer can also connect to a USB port to transfer data.
