These characteristics make the gauze ideal for wound care, such as packing, cleaning, or dressing the wound. There are two gauze sponges in each peelable pouch for fast and easy application. The packaging also maintains the sterile sponge to prevent introducing bacteria to the wound. The woven construction also reduces linting.
