McKesson X-Ray Detectable Sponges - Sterile

McKesson 16-42447 X-ray Detectable Sponge 4 x 8 inches is approved for operating room and surgical applications. Each sponge has a heat-bonded barium sulfate marker included in the fabric to make the sponge easily visible in an x-ray. The edges of the sponge are folded to prevent them from becoming unraveled and to prevent loose threads. The barium sulfate content in each sponge is greater than 55 percent, which exceeds requirements for this type of dressing. The sponges are sterile, radiopaque, and are not made with any natural rubber latex. These X-ray detectable sponges will be affordable and will meet the needs of patients.
