Description

The MaxPlus Extension Set is a device created for the use of administrating solutions or medication through a present iv line, eliminating the need of having a second line inserted.

The extension set is provided sterile, making it safe for use in surgical procedures and bacteria-free environments. Variable control options provided in any one of the extension set you select have the capability to stop and control the flow of solution. This is helpful when you need to administer the second solution and need to prevent the first solution from running back to the line. An optional 1 or 2 connecting ports gives you the opportunity of running 2 iv lines into one entryway. When you need to administer two solutions, have the machine allow the flow of both fluids (if you are using a pump machine), you can also administer by hand, attach a needleless syringe to the iv line as the line does not have a cassette. When using a dual extension set, you can close of section off if needed, keeping the other section open and opening the second section when needed.

Reducing the need for secondary iv lines is beneficial for both caretakers and patients. Caretakers do not have to risk inserting another line, this removes the risk of missed or overshot insertions and keeps their patients happy, everyone would like to avoid a needle whenever possible.
