The Mangar Transfer Belt assists home caregivers and staff who transfer patients with limited mobility. The belt support patient transitions between a chair, bed, or a Mangar lifting cushion. The transfer belt is made with a durable nylon mesh with grip handles for strength and supportive patient transfer. The side and back grip handle aid in transfers from a bed to a wheelchair or assists patients with standing up. The wide belt surface around the chest prevents the skin from getting pinched during the lift. The belt is designed with a slide buckle for easy-on and easy-off. This accessory, manufactured by Mangar, complements any of the Mangar lifting cushions, such as the Camel. The transfer belt adds supportive hold onto the individual as they elevate to a sitting position. It also provides transfer assistance from the lifting cushion or gets them to a standing position.
How to Use the Belt With a Lifting Cushion
- Use the optional slide sheet to position the individual onto the lifting cushion.
- Kneel beside the patient and place them in a seated position.
- Wrap the transfer belt around the patient's chest and adjust it to fit.
- Power the hand control to inflate the cushions.
- Hold the belt's looped handles for additional support and stability while the cushions elevate the individual.
- When all the cushion compartments are fully inflated, the belt handles assist in repositioning the patient to standing or transferring to a wheelchair.
