Magic3 Intermittent Catheters from Rochester Medical are all-silicone intermittent catheters with a three-layer shaft. The design is intended to keep the catheter soft against sensitive urethral tissue while remaining firm enough for controlled insertion and removal.
The outer layer provides a smooth surface, the middle layer adds body for handling, and the inner layer helps the lumen keep its shape for urine drainage. This three-layer construction addresses the tradeoff seen with some single-layer intermittent catheters, which can be very rigid or very soft. The silicone shaft is DEHP free, latex free, and PVC free.
These non-coated catheters are used for clean intermittent catheterization with a separate water-soluble lubricant. Magic3 intermittent catheters are available in male, female, and pediatric sizes and come as single sterile units or touchless tray formats. Preconnected systems and nursing trays are designed to support drainage setup and can include a drain port to help limit spills during emptying.
