Edema Simulators Overview

Life/form Non-Pitting and Pitting Edema Trainers use life-like skin to teach students how to identify pitting and non-pitting (brawny) edema. Students can assess the stages, depth, and rebound time of edema with the simulators.

The Pitting and Fibrotic Edema Trainer (LF00946) has both a hard and a Stage 3+ (6 millimeters) edema pad to identify different aspects of swelling and fluid buildup. The 4-Stage Pitting Edema Trainer (LF00947) has four types of edema pads: mild pitting (Stage 1+), moderate pitting (Stage 2+), deep pitting (Stage 3+), and very deep pitting (Stage 4+). The four-stage trainer has an assessment of depth between 2 millimeters and 8 millimeters.
