Measure around the bend of the knee. Slip the support up and over the knee until the padded insert surrounds the kneecap (patella). If necessary, adjust the support so the stays on either side of the knee are uniform in appearance. Fasten the lower hook and loop strap snugly, then do the same with the upper (proximal) strap. When properly applied, the support should fit snugly but not so tight that it deeply depresses the skin.
