P.R.O. Matt Plus is a non-powered convertible alternating pressure mattress replacement system featuring Pressure Relief Optimization (P.R.O.) Technology. This mattress replacement system allows healthcare providers to provide optimal interface pressures through controlled air cell inflation for at-risk patients and treatment for Stage I and II pressure ulcers. The PRO Mattress may also be useful for additional, more advanced therapeutic intervention based on patient assessment.
P.R.O. Technology is a unique, patent pending, air control technology. The PRO Technology system is designed to require no adjustments or manual inflation. The mattress features a sophisticated internal hosing and valve system that is invisible to the caregiver and patient but enables the surface to automatically adjust to accommodate each patient’s weight and body profile.
The P.R.O. Matt Plus therapy system easily converts to alternating pressure with an optional control unit to provide extraordinary comfort and support of patient weights up to 500 lbs. There are two separate control units to select from detailed below.
PRO Matt Plus hospital air mattress meets flammability standards including Federal 16 CFR 1633, TB 117 and Boston IX-II.
PRO Mattress Plus Features & Benefits
The head zone for the PRO Mattress Plus is static and comprised of high density foam to optimally support the patient and provide comfort. The shoulder, torso, and foot zones are comprised of air and foam cells. The inner air core automatically adjusts to each patient’s body profile and weight. A Visco-elastic foam topper provides maximum pressure relief, patient support. An increased comfort foot section provides excellent heel pressure relief. The Pro Mattress Plus comes with a surrounding firm perimeter which provides stability during patient care and contributes to patient safety by eliminating gaps between frames and bed siderails. Automatic re-inflation of air zones through P.R.O. Technology occurs even when the patient is not on mattress. The therapy cover is made with a low shear, low friction material that is treated with an antimicrobial to protect it from the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria. A standard nylon zippered therapy pad is fluid proof and aids in the prevention of friction and shearing. An optional stretch cover is also available. Custom P.R.O. assembly ensures the mattress always stays optimally inflated, requiring no adjustment or manual inflation.
Non-Powered P.R.O. Technology - The P.R.O. Matt Plus has both non-powered and powered modes of operation. In the non-powered mode, the internal air and foam cells are zoned and designed to reproduce the surface pressure profile of a therapeutic low air loss mattress and provides excellent pressure redistribution.
The P.R.O. Matt Plus automatically re-inflates the air cells in each air zone (shoulder, torso, foot) without the need for caregiver intervention or the use of a pump. This makes the P.R.O. Matt Plus an outstanding therapeutic choice for homecare and all facilities that require a support surface with excellent clinical outcomes and minimal set-up and maintenance.
P.R.O. Matt Optional Control Units
By adding an optional control unit, the P.R.O. Matt Plus easily converts into an alternating pressure mattress replacement system. With two control unit options, caregivers can select the unit that best meets their wound management and financial goals.
P.R.O. Matt ES Control Unit - With the addition of the optional P.R.O. Matt ES control unit, the P.R.O. Matt Plus has three modes of operation: Alternating Pressure, Powered and Autofirm.
Alternating Pressure Mode
In the powered mode, the P.R.O. Matt ES converts to an alternating Pressure relief system. Three alternating pressure cycle times of 5, 10, and 15 minutes provide customized therapy as needed.
Powered Static Flotation Mode
In this mode, the P.R.O. Matt Plus mattress is not alternating and remains static, allowing for excellent patient immersion and flotation.
To quickly inflate the mattress to maximum pressure, use Autofirm mode. This mode may be desirable to assist with patient transfers and other nursing procedures.
P.R.O. Matt CBC Control Unit - The P.R.O. Matt Plus can also be used in conjunction with the easy-to-use CBC control unit. This pump provides alternating pressure therapy with an adjustable dial. Additional features include
static mode and an LED visual alarm alert for low pressure.
