Description

Details

Invacare manufactures reduced gap bed rails to help protect patients from entrapment and fall injuries. The Invacare bed rail design offers added protection over traditional bed rails by closing up the open area that used to occur with the bed in the fully articulated position. All Invacare Bed Rails now have a fourth crossbar There is a crossbrace on the head section of the bed. The spacing between the crossbars of the reduced gap bed rails has been modified to reduce entrapment hazards.

Beware of instructions...and labels....something is wrong...use your better judgement and common sense instead
The rails are just what I needed and have been helpful, that's the main thing. Although the instructions and labels are not accurate for setup and there is a huge safety issue because of this. Calling for help or better setup instructions was not good. We finally realized that the instructions or the labels were incorrect and so we set the rails up the only way they would work. I still haven't had a call back from sales or customer service in regards to questions we had the day we set them up.

Very Good Product
I ordered these rails as my father in law required full length rails to assure his safety. This was a retrofit to an existing Invacare bed. They fit perfectly and as described.

rails hard to get up and down
I am 72 years old and find that when I get one side up or down the other side is hard to get in the same position. I sprayed them with w-d-40 and they move smoother but still one side will slip when I'm trying to do the other side. very exasperating to say the least. other than that they are a big help .
