Instant Read Digital Temple Thermometer by MedLine MDS9698 uses body heat from the temple to accurately read ounce R.A.T.E (Rapid Accurate Temperature Establishment). It is programmable to read in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It is non-invasive, which allows caregivers to check a patient or child's temperature without disturbing sleep. Blood vessels create heat and the Digital Temple Thermometer features a sensor that rapidly tracks the flow of blood to those vessels and converts it into a measurement of body temperature.

It features and easy-to-read digital display that lights up to show normal or abnormal temperature readings. It also alerts the user when it is ready with an audible beep. It has the capability of recalling previous temperature readings and is powered by 2 AAA batteries (included). It is reusable and latex free.
