The Walking Stabilizer offers a new level of confidence and safety for individuals experiencing gait or balance difficulties related to Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, or other neurological conditions. The U-Step II Walking Stabilizer is designed with a reverse-braking system, meaning it remains stationary until the user actively squeezes the hand brakes, providing complete control on every step. This specialized mobility aid promotes upright posture and fall prevention while supporting natural movement during daily activities.
Unlike standard rolling walkers, the U-Step II Walking Stabilizer features a U-shaped base that surrounds the user for superior stability. The seven-wheel configuration ensures maximum surface contact, allowing smooth navigation across uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces. Its padded seat offers comfort during rest breaks, and the adjustable handle height fits a wide range of users.
The lightweight steel frame and folding design make it easy to store and transport, empowering users to maintain independence at home or in the community. Optional laser cueing and sound cueing features available on certain models assist users who experience freezing of gait by providing rhythmic sensory feedback to help initiate and maintain a steady walking pace.
Optional Laser & Sound Cueing Module for Parkinson's
The Cue is clinically proven to reduce freezing and falling caused by Parkinson's. When turned on, it projects a bright laser (available in red or green) that shines on the ground for the user to follow, helping the user to maintain their walking pace. It even comes with an audio feature that can be turned on and off so the user can step in time to the beat.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the U-Step Only Intended for Parkinson's patients?
Those with MS, stroke, Ataxia, or PSP, and anyone who requires the stability of a walker, can use the U-Step.
The two rear wheels are not level with the other wheels. Is that normal?
This is the intended design so that the rear wheels stabilize the user when walking on a ramp or another uneven surface without hindering progress.
What keeps the U-Step from rolling away?
There are two features that prevent unwanted rolling from happening: the handbrakes, which are pull-to-go, and the friction mechanism that regulates the two large wheels at the base.
