Hudson RCI Voldyne 5000 Volumetric Exerciser

Voldyne 5000 Spirometer Volumetric Exerciser by Hudson RCI is a spirometer useful in breathing or respiratory therapy. It has large volume measurement and advanced low-work-of-breathing filter.

This spirometer has a compact ergonomic design with a built-in handle. The Voldyne 5000 Spirometer Volumetric Exerciser has gradations on both sides of the unit. The spirometer also has a good/better/best flow window for visualization of daily improvement.

The spirometer volumetric exerciser has a particulate filter screen in the mouthpiece. It is single-patient use.

Voldyne 5000 Spirometer Volumetric Exerciser has 5000 ml volume measurement for large inspired volumes. It is for adult use. The spirometer is packaged for convenience individually and in cases of 12.

Usage Instructions

1. Take parts from package
2. Push the free side of the tubing to the spout on the device
3. Place the equipment in a vertical position
4. Breathe out with a normal breath
5. Form a seal by putting the mouthpiece in your mouth and closing your lips
6. Breathe in with a slow breath, lifting the cylinder. Make sure to keep the cover of the flow indicator cup (yellow) in the "Best Flow Range"
7. Keep breathing in
8. Attempt to bring the cylinder up to the suggested amount of air flow
9. If you exceed your target, move the Goal Indicator up to match the Volume Indicator
10. When the breath is over, take the mouthpiece out and hold your breath according to your doctor's instructions
11. Breathe out normally
12. Let the cylinder drop back to the base of the chamber
13. Pause for a few moments
14. Do the exercise over again
15. Follow doctor's orders for quantity and frequency

How to Clean and Disinfect

1. Clean the mouthpiece with soap and water after use
2. (you may use antiseptic mouthwash in place of soap and water)
3. Rinse
4. Dry by shaking or by wiping with paper iowels
