Hollister Advance Plus Closed System Intermittent Catheter uses integrated technology to help prevent Urinary Tract Infections. This is because the introducing tip keeps the catheter from touching any bacteria in the first fifteen millimeters of the distal urethra. This area is thought to house the highest concentration of bacteria.

This catheter system also has a gel reservoir to help lubricate the catheter as it is inserted. If you need more lubricant, you can simply squeeze the reservoir gently to release more into the lubricating area. The lubricating gel reduces friction in the urethra allowing for a smooth pain-free application.

In addition to the lubricating gel and protective tip, this catheter system is closed and goes directly into a 1500 ml bag. This bag is designed for a single use. Once you are done using the catheter, there is a section of the bag designed to tear so you can dispose of the urine. It also has an oversized handle for better control and handling.
