GuardIVa Antimicrobial Dressing is a hydrophilic IV site disc that provides antimicrobial protection and hemostatic control for catheter sites by absorbing exudate and covering the insertion area. Formulated with chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) for broad-spectrum antimicrobial and antifungal activity, it also uses the proprietary m-doc compound to help control surface bleeding at vascular access points. This antimicrobial IV site dressing supports catheter site protection and routine vascular access care in clinical settings while maintaining site coverage and absorption.
The BD GuardIVa IV Dressing 1in/1.7mm is indicated for use on IV catheters, other intravenous catheters, and percutaneous devices where a hydrophilic dressing is needed to absorb exudate and protect the site. It is also indicated to assist with surface hemostasis at percutaneous catheter and vascular access sites.
